The Northern Lights

This series is a devotion to wonder.

Inspired by the aurora borealis, these works explore the moment when the unseen becomes visible- when light moves like language across the sky and reminds us that the world is far more alive than it appears. Each piece captures the northern lights not as a landscape, but as a magical experience: electric, fleeting, and quietly transformative.

The paintings are created primarily in acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, with select works incorporating oil to deepen luminosity and movement. I use only the highest-quality paints and refined techniques to build bold layers of color;  saturated blues, vibrant greens, and luminous purples that shift with light and perspective. The surfaces are dynamic, alive with motion, and intentionally immersive.

This body of work is about energy as much as image. The aurora becomes a metaphor for alignment, revelation, and joy. It serves a reminder that magic exists in the natural world and within us, often appearing when we least expect it. These paintings are meant to be lived with, not simply observed to hold space in a room, to elevate the atmosphere, and to invite a sense of awe into everyday life.
