Now taking orders for the July release!
I painted this winter scene while thinking about how light behaves in the deepest dark. The sky is alive- charged with blues, greens, and flashes of yellow. Although its cold, the warmth of the vivid colours moves through the landscape in unexpected streaks
The northern lights feel electric rather than gentle here, stretching and bending across the night as if the sky itself is awake. I wanted the contrast to feel alive: winter and energy, silence and movement, darkness lit from within.
This piece is about moments when the world reveals its intensity without warning—when colour interrupts the night and reminds us that even the coldest landscapes can hold extraordinary light.
