Part of the Northern Lights Series, I painted The Awe Above as a reflection of how small we are in the cosmos. The colours are plentiful and reflect off of the snow covered earth. This piece is about pausing long enough to feel that awe settle in: the kind that quiets the mind and opens the heart. It invites a sense of reverence, calm, and connection into the space it inhabits. The textured mountatins offer added depth and visual interest.
