For one brief moment, predator and prey are perfectly still — each staring intently at the other, neither quite ready to make the next move. The kingfisher sees opportunity; the little minnow sees a very different future.

Rich with colour, texture and a touch of humour, The Fateful Pause captures that deliciously tense moment when everything hangs in the balance… and one of them may want to start swimming.

The texture and bold colours of this piece add warmth and intrigue to any space. The tense stare of the two animals is both tense and humourous - depending on how one sees it.
