I painted this fawn as a study in quiet presence. Surrounded by colour, it stands calmly in the meadow - alert, but unafraid. There is movement in the brushwork, yet the moment itself remains still, as if the world has briefly softened around it.

This piece is about gentleness that doesn’t ask to be protected. The fawn exists fully in its environment, held by light, colour, and space rather than overwhelmed by them. I wanted the painting to feel serene without becoming distant. Both alive and unhurried.

This work is a reminder that softness can be a form of strength, and that there are moments in life when simply standing, noticing, and being present is enough.
